United Nations: Political gangs put Iraq on a dangerous path

Yesterday, Saturday, the United Nations and several Western countries condemned the bloody night in Baghdad the day before, killing 25 demonstrators and more than 120 wounded. And while the European Union embassy confirmed that the incidents of al-Khulani Square and the Senk Bridge were "murders," US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo confirmed that Washington would take measures to punish "the corrupt Iraqis who are plundering the public wealth of their country and targeting peaceful protesters." Pompeo wrote on his Twitter account: "Today, we are taking steps to fulfill the pledge to use our legal powers to punish corrupt Iraqis who steal the public wealth of their country and target peaceful protesters."
